RE: Tiffin 07 Allegro Bus Big Slide issue

Look in your basement or under the slideand find the shaft that connects to the motor. Should be some shear pins on either end that keep you from teating upthe motor. If you find this, you can replace with a 1/4,5/16 th bolt and be on your way. All this assumes your hear the motor running for the slide. Good Luck

RE: Does the problems ever stop???

Assuming you have a pull type gate valve? Does it pull out, can you tell if the slide is moving?

What happens when you try the black tank dumping? More info would help us help you.

This life is no test, if you can afford it, go for it. Only you can answer the question.

RE: Air brakes

Auto slacks are just that automatic, but, if for some reason they need to be adjusted, follow the manufactures guidelines.
Usaully, if they need manual adjustment, they need to be replaced.

RE: Anti-freeze leak

Could very well be a cold weather leak, that by tightening the hose clamp would cure. I would at least try that before taking to Cummins.

RE: Michelin Super Singles anyone?

It's not a matter of if, but, what if. Do you want to sit on the side of an interstate with your family and a flat? Not me!

RE: Michelin Super Singles anyone?

Michelin was helping w/cost about 5 yrs. ago w/truck fleets, but these tires are old news.
A friend that uses them on his fleet is getting better fuel milage, and they are lighter, but, if you have a flat or a blowout, that is where you sit, not the next exit ramp, or Cracker Barrel to wait for service, but on the side of the road, if there is a shoulder.
That point alone made my decision in 03 when I bought tires, but you have to make your own decision.

RE: oil change on 2005 country coach

Should be a Cat book amongst your manuals, if not, get the engine serial # and call Cat.

RE: motor home verses 5th wheel

The room and luxury of some 5th wheels are very nice, I admire the folks that want to spend a couple hrs. setting up, but for me, I enjoy driving our bus, the room is enough for the 2 of us, plus we spend alot of time outside.
Your post makes me wonder why you bought the 5th wheel to start with.

RE: Another Newmar Issue...??

Sorry about your luck, but for less than a grand I figure you could replace both, after you talked to Newmar.

RE: Is this logical?

Drive both, with floorplan that you are satisfied with and chose which you like better.
Kinda like that Cadillac commercial, when you turn your MH on, does it return the favor.

RE: Monaco Electrical Issue and Question

Sounds like a bare wire, intermintent short that kicks the power out. The wiring for the front seats takes alot of abuse with the chair reclining, swiveling etc.

RE: More pep for a catterpillar 3126/c7

pfunk, let Cat uprate it to 330, for abour 1 hr. labor rate, and leave it alone, unless you can afford to replace it.
At 330, you only get flash HP, which means if all conditions are perfect, once the computer detects any variation of the norm, it derates. All electronic motors do this. That 26 is at the end of it's rope!
Our Endeavor does fine at 330, but when we go on vacation, we relax, although in 03 when we got ours, my wife said, "you are not delivering a load, we are on vacation" more than once.
Enjoy
